SAFEGUARDING
Working Together With Families
At Alt Nottingham, safeguarding is not just a policy — it’s a culture. We are deeply committed to protecting the welfare, rights, and dignity of every learner, especially those with complex needs and vulnerabilities.
Our safeguarding framework is trauma-informed, inclusive, and rigorously compliant with statutory guidance. Every member of staff is trained to recognize, respond to, and report concerns with confidence and care. We operate clear protocols for child protection, online safety, peer relationships, and professional conduct — ensuring that safeguarding is embedded in every aspect of our provision.
We work closely with families, local authorities, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support and timely intervention.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and deputies are accessible, accountable, and proactive in maintaining a safe environment for all.
Alt Nottingham is a place where safety is never assumed — it is actively created, maintained, and reviewed.
